Counties Energy owns and operates the network of electricity lines and other equipment that distributes electricity to homes and businesses. We’re responsible for keeping the lights on, and delivering innovative, sustainable energy solutions to the communities we serve.
Energy retailers, also referred to as power companies, are the companies that you have a power account with and who bill you for your energy consumption. Examples of energy retailers include Genesis, Mercury, Meridian and Contact Energy.
To connect power at your property, you need to enter an agreement with an electricity retailer of your choice. Shown here is a list of current retailers operating in our area.
