Capital Contribution
If you are subdividing, building, or installing equipment that greatly increases your power use, you may be required to pay a capital contribution. This is your contribution towards any addition or upgrade of the network near your site and towards the impact of that site on the network as a whole.
The capital contribution is about getting the power to your nearest ‘network connection point’ – usually a pole or pillar in the road reserve. It does not cover any work needed on the private service line that brings power from there to your building.
You can review our full capital contribution policy here.
