Back to Our Community

Counties Energy Annual Discount out now!

From today we officially launch our Annual Discount campaign – with $13.2m being distributed to our 48,000 customers!  Customers can go online and check their discount amount at www.countiesenergy.co.nz/discount to see how much money they’ll receive.

To be eligible for the payment, customers needed to be connected to the Counties Energy on 3 November 2023.  The payment is based on lines charges paid over the period 1 November 2022 – 31 October 2023 and is paid as a credit on customer’s December or January power bill from their personal electricity retailer.

As we’re a 100% consumer owned organisation, we’re always committed to giving back to our community.  We’re extremely proud to deliver another year of discount payments to our customers while continuing with a substantial investment programme to deliver a robust electricity network for our fast-growing region.

In 2023, we’ve invested more than $72m into projects to build and update the network and improve technology and new systems for increased levels of customer service.  We’re also working on programmes in sustainability and energy hardship, two areas we’re passionate about as a company, and continuing our long-term support of community partners across many essential safety services, education, sporting and community endeavours.

We’re grateful to our community for their continual support over the years, and are excited to show commitment to the community through our partnerships including two very exciting Christmas events this year.  Christmas on the Green in partnership with Counties Energy is taking place this Saturday 2 December from 3.00pm at Pukekohe’s Navigation Homes Stadium, with free entry for all!  We also have the Counties Energy Christmas Lights Trains at Night at Glenbrook Vintage Railway in the lead up to Christmas, visit www.gvr.co.nz to purchase special priced online tickets. We hope you enjoy the celebrations and enjoy a joyful summer with friends and whānau.
