Christmas on the Green success!

Christmas on the Green kids posing with signs

At Counties Energy, our commitment to community support runs deep within our core values. Partnering with the Pukekohe Business Association for Christmas on the Green was an incredible privilege. This free event was more than just a celebration; it was a testament to our dedication to creating memorable experiences for everyone in our region.

The festive spirit was alive as families and friends gathered for a day filled with joyous activities. From an array of entertainment for both adults and kids to the laughter echoing from the rides, the delicious kai from food trucks, and the thrilling games offering chances to win exciting prizes.

And what’s Christmas without the magic of Santa? His visit brought smiles to every face, adding that extra sparkle.

It was wonderful to have so many people visit our Counties Energy stand, where we were also joined by the Counties Energy Trust who were generously providing free Ecobulbs to members of our community. Our public safety competitions were a hit! People were able to get involved and learn about staying safe near electricity in a fun way.

For the kids we had a name the hidden dangers competition when playing near electrical equipment. For the adults, we were educating them on downed power lines and letting them know to keep at least 10 metres away and call us immediately. We were also joined by our community partners the Northern Stars, with players Amorangi Malesala and Kate Kate Burley setting up a goal-shooting activation – which was a huge hit!

We are extremely proud to have to have been able to contribute to the safety and well-being of our community while spreading joy during this festive season. Being able to play a role in making this a free event accessible to everyone in our community, with a record number of people attending reinforces our commitment to fostering a safer and more informed community through engaging initiatives and partnerships. It was fantastic to see so many people, young and old enjoying the festivities and getting into the Christmas spirit.
