Helping make our communities’ homes warmer, drier, and healthier
Did you know you could be eligible for free insulation?
As part of our energy hardship initiatives, we part-fund Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority’s, Warmer Kiwi Homes programme, which provides free insulation to low-income, owner-occupied homes.
Well-insulated homes are not only warmer, drier, and healthier – they also cost far less to heat and make a large difference to the temperature inside a home.
Since 2020, around 150 homes in Pukekohe, Waiuku, Tuakau, Port Waikato, Drury, and southern Papakura have been insulated as part of the initiative.
If your home was built before 2008 and is owner-occupied, you could be eligible to receive this support.
