New Counties Power Chief Executive Announced

Counties Power is pleased to announce the appointment of Judy Nicholl as its new Chief Executive. Ms Nicholl replaces Sheridan Broadbent, who left the business in June.

Currently a key member of the Auckland International Airport executive and leadership team, Ms Nicholl has been General Manager Aeronautical Operations since April 2010, where she leads a team of 200 employees.

Announcing the appointment today, Counties Power Chairman Vern Dark says, “Ms Nicholl is an extremely strong leader. She has a proven track record in negotiation with complex stakeholders, including airlines and commercial entities, and brings with her sound strategic skills.”

“Ms Nicholl has impressive operational management skills and was chosen from a strong field of candidates.  We are delighted that she is joining Counties Power as the organisation’s Chief Executive to continue the excellent work that Counties Power does in expanding and maintaining one of the fastest growing electricity networks in the country,” Mr Dark said.

Ms Nicholl will commence her role as Chief Executive in October.  Prior to her current role, Ms Nicholl worked in senior management human resources positions at Auckland International Airport, Fonterra and New Zealand Police.
