Counties Power finalist in prestigious industry awards
The company is one of four in the running for the Innovation in Energy category at the prestigious Deloitte Energy Excellence Awards.
Counties Power’s award entry is INDI, the new high-tech on-line system that delivers automated fault identification and servicing. The system is a platform for communicating real-time messaging to customers along with systematic logging and dispatching of crews for faults. Using the benefits of Google Maps, the system gives the company a geographical view of power faults. It can can show where faults teams are currently located and estimated restoration times. This allows for more accurate and efficient information to be given to customers regarding fault resolution times.

INDI – which stands for infrastructure and network data interface – is an online tool that brings together the benefits of our leading smart meter network and the mobile tablets our field crews utilise to enable us to better allocate staff and resources when network faults occur. The system is now running across the network, with the final stage of automated communications to customers going live in the coming months.
The Deloitte Energy Excellence Awards will be announced at a black tie awards ceremony on 9 August 2017.
