We’re celebrating 100 years in 2024

We’re hitting a milestone birthday in March next year and are currently seeking registrations of interest from members of our community who have strong connections to Counties Energy.

If you know of anyone with ties to Counties Energy, Counties Power, or Franklin Electric Power Board who’d like to be updated with information on our centenary in 2024 – please encourage them to register their details via our website here. 

We’ve been powering our community from 1924 since our inception as Franklin Electric Power Board, with the first power pole erected on Manukau Road, Pukekohe, in 1925.

Our identities have since been Counties Power and now Counties Energy. Today, we supply power to over 49,000 customers around our network region, which spans from coast to coast between southern Papakura and Mercer and west of the Waikato River from Mercer to Waikaretu.
