Some Waiuku customers remain without power as our crews continue working on replacing the damaged power pole hit yesterday afternoon on Colombo Road. Thanks for your patience while our crews continue to work as quickly as they can to restore power to remaining customers.

A car has hit a transformer on the corner of Victoria Street and Kennelly in Pukekohe with those in the immediate area including Kiwi Place, Dublin Street, and Harrington Avenue without power.
Our crews are working as quickly and safely as they can, but given the impact of the damage, and the complexity of the repairs, this restoration process will take most of the night and the early hours of Sunday morning.
We estimate that power will be restored Sunday morning. Please consider making other arrangements tonight and if possible, stay with friends or family tonight.
UPDATE FOR WAIUKU 5.20PM FRIDAY 29/7
Our crews have been working hard to restore power safely and to reduce the number of customers affected after a car hit a power pole earlier in Waiuku.
They have managed to restore the majority of over 1,000 customers affected initially. However about 100 customers will remain without power until just before 3am Saturday morning.
For these remaining customers, our apologies and please consider making other arrangements for dinner and to to stay with friends or family tonight. Our crews will be working throughout the night to replace the damaged power pole.

A car has hit a power pole along Colombo Road in Waiuku with those in the immediate area including Queen Street, Victoria Avenue, and Campbell Street are without power.
Our crews are working as quickly and safely as they can, but given the impact of the damage, this restoration process will take most of the night and into early Saturday morning.
We estimate that power will be restored just before 3am on Saturday morning (30 July). Please consider staying with friends or family tonight.
