Counties Energy Continues Local Support Through Energy Hardship Initiative
Counties Energy has continued its partnership with Franklin Family Support Services to supply Winter Warmer Packs to local whānau in need for a third consecutive year. This collaboration aims to support families at risk of energy hardship by providing essential items to help them stay warm, healthy and manage their energy consumption more effectively during the colder months.
The 2024 Winter Warmer Packs include energy-saving eco bulbs, an energy-efficient slow cooker, home baking, meals and recipe cards from our local schools – Pukekohe Christian School and Waiau Pa School. The packs also included items supplied by The Warehouse Group (The Warehouse Pukekohe), Mitre 10 Mega Pukekohe and fresh produce from local grower, Wilcox to help families prepare warm, nutritious meals. By working closely with Franklin Family Support Services, Counties Energy ensures these packs are given to the households that will benefit the most.
Counties Energy General Manager Commercial, Andrew Toop, is extremely proud to sustain the company’s commitment to the community by delivering Winter Warmer Packs as part of Counties Energy’s ongoing energy hardship initiatives for the third consecutive year.
“We are pleased to be a partner with Franklin Family Support Services to provide these essential Winter Warmer Packs to assist our local families. As temperatures drop, it’s crucial that families have the support they need to keep warm and reduce their energy bills. This initiative reflects our commitment to supporting our community and helping those who need it most.”
Robyn Driver, Chief Executive of Franklin Family Support Services, highlighted the positive impact this initiative will have on the families they support.
